Veterinary Photographer of the Year Finalist!

My Finalist Entry into the BVA Veterinary Photographer of the Year.

This year I was really honoured to be a finalist in the BVA Veterinary Photographer of the Year Competition. This photograph was called “Mopping the Brow after a hard op!”

It was originally taken as a bit of a joke as the nurse and I joked around after a long operation. I nearly didn’t enter it at all but did it because I thought it was light hearted and often this is needed in the Veterinary Profession which is hard work, very emotional and pressurised. I’m glad I did though and it was nice the judges thought the same thing. Unfortunately it didn’t win but it was great to see the picture printed out and displayed for the judging. Maybe next year!
